IMAGINE Curators’ Quote

‘Imagination is as integral to the artistic process as the execution, fueling the genesis of creativity in all forms.  It has been said that in fiction writing there are only 7 plots but for painters and sculptors the narratives are endless.  Whatever is perceived can be achieved if the talent supports the intent.   And for this exhibit it most certainly does.  

We wanted to begin the new year with an inspirational presentation, one that intrigues, engages, excites and celebrates all that is possible if you literally put your mind to it.  

In the figurative arena we have works of female centric whimsy alongside sexy femme fatales or just the bikinis they once wore sharing the stage with XO, the universal symbol of love.  In the abstract colors and symbols create an enchanting passage into the minds of several artists who establish their voices by embracing the what if. Ancient Egyptian influences meet 21st Century graffiti meet a timeless homage to the revered American icons.  

Imagine was poetically envisioned by the late great John Lennon and seems a perfect beginning to 2026 in the art world and the world overall.
