IN THE FLOW - Curators’ Quote

‘A VIBE.

A REDISTRIBUTION OF ENERGY.

A PIVOT FROM THE ROUGH CURRENT TO THE SMOOTH.

In this exhibit we wanted to bring together all forms of flow. The abstract, the figurative, the surprisingly provocative and the understated beauty.

Hamptons’ waters are the obvious selection but how the waters are captured is the exception. That is the redistribution of energy.  Pages of books shot in the abstract that create their own beautiful energy that few ever notice is the pivot.  Coupling the black and white page imagery with black and white portraits of music icons defined and applauded by their journeys and flowers with a graffiti spin that adds to the flow in vibrant and unexpected ways is the vibe.

Graffiti in itself is a flowing art and as such we would be remiss not to include some graffiti abstracts that say shine in the dark and thanks for the silence. When you’re in the flow, you’re in a beautiful place. We look forward to seeing you there.’
